Quietdrive: Ready to take on the world
By Jeff Brinn

Recently having inked a deal with Epic Records, the Minneapolis based act, Quietdrive, might just be on the brink of making what looks to be a very large impact on the world of radio-friendly rock.

After garnering a combined 400,000 downloads from MySpace Music users, Quietdrive steadily grew a huge fan base to say the least. With their slickly written songs and DIY assault, this young group of musicians soon found themselves signing on with the prestigious major label Epic Records. If that wasn't enough, elite knob twister

Butch Walker (Avril Lavigne, The Donnas, Bowling For Soup) stepped into the fold as producer making Quitedrive's debut a surefire slice of ear candy.

Vocalist/chief songwriter Kevin Truckenmiller began his musical efforts early, jamming with fellow gradeschool chums Justin Bonhiver and Droo Hastings. After posting a few MP3s on a local music site, drummer Brandon Lanier caught wind of these musical gems, and shortly after called to join the band. Completing the formation, Truckenmiller brought in fellow gambling partner Matt Kirby, adding a thick guitar-driven sound that easily made Quietdrive a fully functional powerhouse of a band.

With pop hooks and melody driven guitars, Quietdrive has a huge year ahead of themselves if the play all their cards right. Their Epic Records debut WHEN ALL THAT'S LEFT YOU is scheduled to drop early '06, and if their MySpace Music popularity is any sign of what is ahead for these Minneapolis cohorts, they will be some very busy boys.
